The best way is to deploy esigate in a tomcat server, with / context path (ROOT.war). It will act as a reverse proxy, and is the most frequently use case. Standalone server is just an embedded jetty with esigate.war, but is less tested. ServletExtension is an optimisation to minimise http traffic by including local tomcat resources. @dev team : We have to clarify the documentation.
