fyi, I've added some initial pre-alpha code to CVS. the code there now doesn't do a lot, but it does provide a client system requirements check, the ability to create a char and login, and then see the list of which chars are currently logged in which dynamically updates.

if you're interested, grab the latest from CVS, and follow the instructions in doc/README.html to setup a server.
