That would indeed make it a perfect solution.
With respect to SUSE 8.0 there are some other pecularities - the config system of SUSE YAST2 sometimes either writes changes over or stops working as with the APACHE hhtpd server

Me too, vsftpd is a bloody pain in the arse to config manually and just where do you get to see log info such as logins, transfers, commands, etc.? vsftp is rough to observe and manage, although it is simple to run and works quite well. Somebody *please* make a config and log module for vsftp!

actually i think it would be a peice of cake.
in the apache sever settings you can modify the httpd.conf file.
well why non make one to modify the vsftpd.conf file?
and add a button to restart "xinetd"
don't worry I'm sure they will come out with this.
i e-mailed the creators of vsftpd and asked why i had to delete the contents of a folder before i could delete the actual folder and he told me that my ftp client sucks.
I e-mailed him back an asked what ftp client he was using and why the gftp client in linux would not work and he did not reply.
What a loser! he can't even figure that out and he says his stuff is better that anyone elses ftp service for linux. he needs to resolve this so that his claim can be accurate!!!!!!!!!!

webmin module is there, note that you will need to change the module config
path & file name to vsftpd.conf /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf
path and file to reload /etc/rc.d/init.d/vsftpd
(thats rh9, rh is not far off that)

Now that Red Hat 8.0 is packaging vsftpd as their default FTP Daemon, it'd be great to see a Webmin module to follow suit. How difficult would it be?
