Hi Colin, Which version of Virtualmin are you using there? If it is not the latest (2.610) it may be worth upgrading, as a bug that can cause this problem was fixed recently.. - Jamie -----Original Message----- From: cw <col...@gm...> Subj: [webmin-l] "Missing file to open at main::../web-lib-funcs.pl" Date: Sat 31 Dec 2005 7:35 am Size: 1K To: web...@li... Okay, had a few problems building a new system but I'll admit this one has me completely stumped. When I try to create a new virtual server (2.610 on FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE #0) I get some errors: #start quote Setting up scheduled Webalizer reporting .. .. Webalizer reporting failed! : Missing file to open at main::../web-lib-funcs.pl line 1645 at ../web-lib-funcs.pl line 825. Setting up log file rotation .. .. Log file rotation failed! : Missing file to open at main::../web-lib-funcs.pl line 1645 at ../web-lib-funcs.pl line 825. #end quote It carries on past these but then it recurs later on, the second line in big bold letters: #start quote Adding email address for Unix user .. Failed to create virtual server : Missing file to open at sendmail::../web-lib-funcs.pl line 1645 #end quote I don't know enough about virtualmin to make sense of the .pl file and Google is not my friend and I can only find bug #6 where someone else had the problem but looks like they went away. Please help because I need to get the websites back up and running (complete server failure - data is backed up but not the software etc). Space in disk is enough...about 90 GB because the tmp for both directories is located in the larger partition. I will just wait till next version comes out... Hi Jamie, cheers for the reply 2.610, I did say in the second sentence but perhaps didn't make it clear enough. I have noticed however that even though logrotate errors it does set it up however it doesn't set up the others and then I have to go through manually deleting all of the entries that it has put in before I can try again (some form of undo or maybe just an option to force virtualmin to removed and then recreate any existing entries..with big warnings of course would help). It was installed as an earlier version (whatever was in the ports tree), then I updated it through the webmin panel. Apologies for the double post too, I did post much earlier as well but Thunderbird was acting up and I didn't know if had gone through. Regards, Colin. Fixed it. I completely removed the module. Then I moved the virtual-server directory (cd /usr/local/etc/webmin; mv virtual-server/ virtual-server.bak) and installed clean from the latest version on the website. So there must have been a problem either with the port I installed or the upgrade to the latest version (done from within webmin). Don't know what the problem was that caused it but thankfully it is gone now. Regards, Colin. |
