Hi! I'm having some trouble with the cluster-software module as it has
trouble attempting to install rpms of a certain size... I did a little more
research to be more helpful and my conclusion is that cluster-software hangs
for a long time and only displays "Installing package_name on all hosts .."
when the filesize of the rpm is greater than somewhere starting around
1,060,000 bytes. This occurred while choosing from "local file" option as
well as "uploaded file" option.
I've tested it on two hosts on my LAN (all x86) and using Webmin 0.91 w/ SSL
(and all modules updated automatically as of 12/19/2001):
192.168.0.1 Mandrake 8.1 (The comp. I'm using to install packages on both
192.168.0.2 RedHat 7.2
The following packages and file sizes hung and failed to say anything
1094572 ORBit-devel-0.5.8-2mdk.i586.rpm (worked a minority of the times)
The following packages and file sizes were successful in the sense that it
said the install worked or gave me a rpm error why it didn't:
I've used IE 5.5 on a Windows machine too in addition to Mozilla Build
2001100112 on my Mandrake box since I saw some post about Mozilla mischief
with ssl on on of the webmin mailing lists. I'm certain it has nothing to do
with ssl or not because netpbm "fails" while having ORBit-devel "work" a
couple of times with any combination of the hosts having webmin use ssl
or not... Any idea what's up? (Sorry for long email/explanation!)
