Where does the 'change password' module get the user account information? We have linux users without local accounts (not in /etc/passwd) that authenticate with their Active Directory password. Somehow, the change password module can pull up user information for these AD users, even though the password can't be changed from here. I'd like to find a way to configure 'change password' to only look at local accounts. |

The "Change Passwords" module shows all users on the system by default, as it can use the "passwd" command to modify users .. and that should work for LDAP users as well. Unfortunately you can't switch to showing only local users. Although that actually makes sense, since when the "passwd" command isn't being used it won't be able to modify non-local users. - Jamie |
