I've just installed Webmin-1.110 onto my Mandrake-9.2rc2 PC. While
checking to make sure PostgreSQL was installed so
that I could install Gambas, I ran into a problem. I was prompted to
key in a password for the login id of
'postgres'. I have tried several passwords, including the password I
created for 'root', but nothing seems to work.
Thanks for any help, Marty

Not sure about Mandrake, but typically the 'postgres' user does not have
a password. To access that user in order to create your first Postgres
user or database, you should first become root, and then 'su - postgres'
which should drop you into a shell as user Postgres. From there you can
'createuser' or 'createdb' to your heart's content.
