I have used Webmin without difficulty for a long time. I upgraded to the new version the other day, which seemed to work fine during that session, now I can't login. It gives the login username/password window, but then just hangs when I attempt to login. I then tried an incorrect password just to see if it was processing the password and it rejected the wrong password--but does nothing with the correct password. :-/ I have tried restarting Webin--same results. When I give a netstat -tupan at the command line, it shows that a connection with webmin is established, --but Webmin just hangs. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks, |

I don't have this problem with Webmin 0.88 This is definately a bug unfortunately, caused by the use of /dev/urandom in webmin 0.89 :( The short-term fix is to edit /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf and remove the session=1 line and restart with /etc/webmin/stop ; /etc/webmin/start Tomorrow I will release a new version 0.90 that fixes this, as well as adding a couple of new modules. - Jamie ----- Original Message ----- From: "William Webb" <ww...@12...> To: <web...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2001 9:19 AM Subject: PROBLEM WITH RELEASE 0.89 > I have used Webmin without difficulty for a long time. I was able to upgrade and I have not had any problems. I am using Redhat Linux 7.0 and everything seems to work fine. I have not experienced any of the problems that you guys have. What OS are you using?
