Tom: for me the absolute beauty of webmin is that I do not need to deal with pearl to "customize" it to my needs! in most modules, besides de module configuration, you need also to check how the webmin user (even the admin), can use that module. in the specific case you mention (create homedir in a certain dir, like /u1/home ), you should go to webmin/webmin users, then click on "Users and Groups" under the webmin user that will be creating new system users, and that will take you to the module access control... there you'll find a field that ask you "Home directories must be under"... where you can then choose /u1/home) Suppose that you have some users that need to go to u1/home , and others to u2/home... in that case you could clone that webmin user, and then change the appropiate field for that webminuser! of course you could modify any part of the script...but for that you do need to be comfortable hacking perl code... and I'm not! Hope it works for you Marcos On Tue, 22 May 2001, Tom Gwilt wrote: > Hi all, > > New user here. > > I have installed Webmin on a BSDi 3.1 system.
