Greetings: I have been tasked with building a Jumpstart Server for the express purpose of building Solaris 10 systems. I plan on using a Flash Archives and want to automate the installation and configuration of the Webmin software to the point where no human input is required and it just accepts the defaults. I have two situations I am trying to address as follows: Scenario 1. The O/S release I am using is Sparc Solaris 10 5/8. According to Sun all I have to do is run the /opt/sfw/bin/webmin/setup.sh script and their pre-installed version will be operational. Q1. How do I execute the setup.sh script without having to manually answer all of the questions? Q2. Assuming I can execute the setup.sh without human input, I will then need to use the Flash Archive image for multiple system installs is there a non-interactive way to re-configure webmin so that it use the new servers hostname, root password, default port etc, after Jumpstarting a system with the Flash archive? Scenario 2. Suppose I download the current webmin package from the Webmin website and use the current package and do a package add, can I accomplish a hands-free installation that way? If question 1 can be done then question 2 can be scripted in a fin script or a rc script that is run once at first boot. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Respectfully; Mark K.
