Chuck, ProFTP all ready allows this type of security configuration for the server. So all Unix users created on the box (that have a valid login shell) will be chrooted in their home directory. Under the ProFTP module --> Files and Directories --> Limit users to directories choose "Home Directory" and under Authentication --> Only allow login by users with valid shell? choose yes.
