Thanks for the reply Even after all this time Sendmail has no pop before smtp? It would appear that the following (added below) taken from sendmail.mc has some kind of authenification, or is this just a wall I'm going to knock my head against? Would qmail or postfix be easier. I've always disliked qmail because its logging just plain stinks but I believe it has smtp built in.
