Since webmin 1.630 the MySql module is not showing the databases on the remote server anymore if mysqld on the local server is not installed.
Before you could just set the mysql host to connect to in the module config, without installing the mysql server locally.
Webmin would then pick up the databases etc. on the remote server. Since 1.630 it doesn’t do that anymore and requests to install the mysql server on the local machine.
Maybe something changed in the order of the checks (it should first check if the remote host is defined and then if mysql server is installed locally).
