Hi Jamie,

The default install of RHEL / CentOS 7 creates another notation in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.

In my case I created a virtual machine with IP 1.2.3.4 netmask 255.255.255.0

This resulted in ifcfg-ensxxx:

TYPE="Ethernet"

BOOTPROTO="none"

DEFROUTE="yes"

IPV4_FAILURE_FATAL="no"

IPV6INIT="yes"

IPV6_AUTOCONF="yes"

IPV6_DEFROUTE="yes"

IPV6_FAILURE_FATAL="no"

NAME="ensxxx"

UUID="xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx"

ONBOOT="yes"

HWADDR="xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx"

IPADDR0="1.2.3.4"

PREFIX0="24"

GATEWAY0="1.2.3.1"

DNS1="1.2.3.1"

DOMAIN="example.com"

IPV6_PEERDNS="yes"

IPV6_PEERROUTES="yes"

Webmin didn’t recognize this notation (ipaddr0, prefix0 and gateway0), multiple IP addresses can be added by defined all the with the suffix 1 etc.

Using webmin network configuration and changing the value will result in an unpredictable situation.

Any change you’ll cover this in a future release?
