"Package is no longer installed&q...

after upgrading from Debian Squeeze to Wheezy I am unable to use the package management options in Webmin.

System > Software Packages > Package Tree (or search for any locally installed package)
When I then click any installed package, I get "error" and "Package is no longer installed"

Is that an issue in Webmin itself or did I somehow mess up my dpkg / aptitude setup?
On the command line it all looks OK but I prefer to use Webmin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

after making sure my perl setup is up-to-date I started digging deeper regarding packages.
I found out that when I reinstall a package (e.g. using "aptitude reinstall apt-show-versions") webmin again behaves as expected for that package.
    any ideas?
I do not plan on doing that for each and every package, obviously ;-)

welp … in the end that is what I did:

    dpkg --get-selections \* | awk '{print $1}' | xargs -l1 aptitude reinstall

most certainly not the most elegant solution, but it fixed my problem :-)
