    WhiteTigerIT - 2013-01-15

    In System Information i see:
    Operating system Ubuntu Linux 11.10

    But with a lsb_release -a I see:
    No LSB modules are available.
    Distributor ID: Ubuntu
    Description:    Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
    Release:        12.04
    Codename:       precise

Always in the System Information, below all the info, I see also:
Warning - Your system is actually running Ubuntu Linux version 12.04.1.
And there is a button "Update the Detected Operating System"
Is this for update to 12.10 or to 12.04 from 11.10?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

the button 'update the detected system' is used to tell webmin that the detected version is the one that it should be using for system specific routines.

Until you press the button webmin will assume that the os is 11.10.

The button does NOT update the OS merely tells webmin to use the detected release in its routines.
    d.
