was able to "adapt" my conf files to work around nft...
Might share it, but I am actually hospitalized for the next 2 weeks....
nftables is the new framework (as replacement for iptables) in e.g. Debian 9 - are there any plans to support it in the near future?

NFTABLES is the default for Centos 8, and iptables is basically no longer supported (and doesn't work AFITI
Apparently you can import an IPTABLES save fileinto NFTABLES..
