Hi I hope someone can please help.

I have already set the timezone in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

and it WAS working. but then I installed suphp.

When when I go to install a new cms on a vitual server I get the error:

"FATAL ERROR: MODX Setup cannot continue.

To use PHP 5.3.0+, you must set the date.timezone setting in your php.ini. Please do set it to a proper timezone before proceeding. A list can be found here."

Thank you if anyone can please help me fix this?

I've now fixed this by following this guide:

Hi now I have even bigger problems, following the guide above made the site load. But then I couldn't run the installer still. Tried a few other things and ended up with a 500 error not found!

So I tried removing the Virtual Server. Now my root site won't work either. So nothign is loading up, can anyone please help?
