I have web 1.580 running on Ubuntu 11.10 and I'm using the Historical System Statistics webmin module for ntp v4.2.6p2 (among other things.)  Every once in a while, cron sends me two emails from the machine with warnings.  First, I get these messages:

WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find stratum on 127.0.0.1
WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find when on 127.0.0.1
WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find poll on 127.0.0.1
WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find reach on 127.0.0.1
WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find delay on 127.0.0.1
WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find offset on 127.0.0.1
WARNING on module ntp (eval)(run.pl 137)  : can not find disp on 127.0.0.1

And then, about two minutes later, I get this:

alarm recovery on module ntp

This is mostly a minor irritant, but I'd really like to know how to resolve it.  It bothers me to not know why something on my machine is failing intermittently.  Can anyone help?
