Installing webmin on virtualbox 6.1 & ubuntu server 18.04

Hi,

Trying to install webmin on ubuntu server 18.04 running on virtualbox VM
6.1 (Xeon hardware)

dpkg -i webmin_1.941xx.deb does never terminate -> running for long time
without ending.

Same install on AMD, the install is OK.

Any feedback on what happens ?

webmin1.942 does not install on VM running on hardware HP Z440 + ubuntu 18.04
I tested webmin installs on ubuntu server 16.04, 18.04 and 20.04. Same eternal blocking message "unpacking webmin......."
If I move the VM on AMD hardware + ubuntu 18.04, then the install is done properly.

Hi,
Here is the news : probably a failure inside SATA driver of VirtualBox.
When I tick "Use I/O host caching", the install is done properly on SATA host configuration.
If I use a SCSI host driver , no issue at all.
As a conclusion, installation of webmin deb package fails on Z440 Xeon hardware when not using SATA VBox driver host caching....
Whatever deb package I am using on my Z440 station, I did not meet the same issue !
