Bad File Descriptor

    I keep getting this when I try to update the root zone which has nothing in the file.

    Failed to re-download root zone : Failed to write to /var/named/run-root/var/named/run-root/var/named.root : Bad file descriptor
    I do not know what this means but I get the same bad file descriptor issue when setting up master zones.

    Any help would great.

    sounds like a FILE PERMISSION problem. you will get these kind of generic errors in server-system perm conflicts. just check to see that the file can be written to by …. (if you cant figure it, shortcut = you may need to change it temporarily to world and change back. )…
