It seems that when creating a NIS domain under Solaris
with Webmin 1.020 a vital stage is missed.
The file /etc/nsswitch.nis needs to be copied to
/etc/nsswitch.conf in order for NIS to work.

That isn't necessary, as the Client Services page of the
module can be used
to turn on NIS for various services. In fact, just copying
that file across could
overwrite other changes that have been made to nsswitch.conf.
