#5532 File Editor Paste from clipboard thingy

Hi! I can't reproduce this error directly,i tryed to make video, but not did this when i needed, but this thing is messing my config files lot of times.

When i open lot of editors, in webmin and i need to find space to read and edit, when i pasted what is on my clipboard, and then i need to move that window of the editor, lot of times just pasted again what is in clipboard with that move and creates a red dot character.

For example:

then i grab the window and get this:

I am not sure I understand how to reproduce this issue? When I grab the window (doing left mouse click and holding) the window is just getting moved as expected.

By red-dot-character do you mean Zero-width space <0x200b>?

By the way, if you work with multiple editor windows, you can arrange them by using editor's hamburger menu and clicking Align Panels. Note that direction of windows that are getting aligned, i.e. vertically/horizontally is controlled by holding Alt (Option) key before making a click.

Please provide more details on how to reproduce this issue and which browser you are using and on which OS.

Me neither. But its annoying when it happens and I don’t notice, and i try to find what is the problem with Apps

But yes! If i open that document in notepad++ there is no character there.

What i know i already wroted down, direclty i cant reproduce this thing, but happens lot of times when i need to work with lot of editor panels... and almost no space left on the screen.

Not visible doesn't mean it's not there.

Try in Notepad++ either/or:

Menu View → Show Symbol → Show All Characters
Menu View → Show Symbol → Show White Space and TAB

So the issue is that, when you copy/paste something (text) it inserts that invisible white space char? Well, if so, it means it's there on the source, from where you're copying it, meaning that if you don't see it on Notepad++ it doesn't mean it's not there. Displaying special chars depends on editor's settings.

I dont want to wrote down again. Webmin duplicates the thing what i pasted when i move the window of WEBMIN TEXT EDITOR! Not me pasting stupid nonexistent characters!

I wish I could help but I just don't see this issue happening on my end. Have you tried latest Firefox or Chrome browser? What Brave browser version do you use there?

If next time needs to configure something which needs a lot of file editing i start recording. it.
But that is happend randomly... I see this long time ago... Allways when drag the windows of the editor, just magiccaly happens to duplicated the pasted things. o.O

I Use Brave for a reason. I dont like adds, and Firefox or any outher browsers needs extensions to block anything which almost all the time equal to high memory usage...

BTW as i remember when i used Microfost Edge a years ago same things happend...

My screen is not huge 1920x1200 and those the reason need to arange the windows. (need to find another file in the File Browser. for example)
