Debian 10.9 / Linux 5.10.0-0.bpo.5-amd64 on x86_64
Networking / Linux Firewall / Apply Configuration , after service not found.
Put back 1973, everything works.
Hello, I have similar problem after last update, Firewall "Apply" give error:
Failed to apply configuration : Failed to restart ip6tables.service: Unit ip6tables.service not found.
Ubuntu 18.04
but, I install a fresh copy of webmin on other Ubuntu 18.04 hardware there is no problem. Probably a webmin upgrade issue?
Thank you in advance

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Same in upgraded hardware, same in the fresh installation one. The only difference between two installations is that the upgraded has Netfilter installed.

If you go to System -> Bootup and Shutdown, do you see any action named
iptablesor similar?Same bug on debian 10.9 running webmin 1.974.

Does it help if you run
apt-get install iptables-persistent?I tried but no, it does not make any difference. Webmin does not see the IP tables service.
OK I see what causes this - we will include a fix in the next Webmin release.
You can see the fix here : https://github.com/webmin/webmin/commit/aa0f6e774765370b0b8695907994bc3f15ff3519
