I just tried to use the File Manager module for the first time since I updated to v.1.930 and I am unable to do anything with it except to browse the folders and files.

When I try to create a simple text file within my linux user area, I get:
Following errors occured while performing operation
failed to create: test.txt : No such file or directory

When I try to browse back to the parent folder by clicking on the link within the File Manager module "Return to Previous Page", I get:
Following errors occured while performing operation
Error opening directory /%2Fhome%2Fuser No such file or directory

When I try to use the chmod or chown functions within the module, I get the same:
Following errors occured while performing operation
Error opening directory /%2Fhome%2Fuser No such file or directory

This File Manager module was working fine in v.1.920 but something is not correct now. I have tested this in two separate webmin installs, with the same results. Both were using devuan linux.

Just wanted to report. Thank you.

Confirming the problem after updating on 3 different servers. Can not rename/create/delete anything and receiving the same error message. All using FreeBSD 11.3.

EDIT: I am using the 'Gray Framed Theme', if I switch to the 'Authentic Theme', the problem goes away. Unfortunately, the filemin interface is different and is one of the main reasons I've stuck with the 'Gray Framed Theme'. But, it is a quick temporary fix for others having this problem while we wait for an update.

I'm having the same issue. Prior to 1930 everything worked find. Now just trying to change a file attr gives error. Also clicking on Welcome user name, gives Selected user no longer exists!
    Please help.

So are people only seeing this when NOT using the new default authentic theme?

Odd, I just tested this with an older theme, and file editing works fine with 1.930

This is probably because I made a patch already and you are using the latest checked version?

Have tried 3 different themes, the 'Authentic Theme' does allow chmods without an error, but can not change 'items to display'. 'BWtheme' allows module config changes but chmod, chattr and chown error.

Confirming that switching to Authentic Theme fixes the issue for me, on CentOS Linux 7.6.1810.

What do you mean by 'items to display'?

Sorry for the delay, under module configuration, items to display per page (with note stating for older themes only). I'm not sure the BWtheme qualifies as an older theme, but it was working in 1920.

My customer had a similar issue today. He can browse files through File Manager, but when he tries to create one, he gets "You are not allowed to access '/%2Fsrv%2Fwww%2Fnew%5Fiba%2Fpublic%5Fhtml'. The allowed directories are :'/srv/www, /var/log/apache2'.

However, he can upload the same file through file upload/download without any problems.

I am using the most up to date version. I use only the gray framed theme as it is the most robust. I am unable to use the search function of file manager. I have had the issue on two servers with updated linux (ubuntu 18.04 LTS), Linux 5.0.0-25-generic on x86_64.
