Latest version of file manager does not show any new folders or files created. Ubuntu 16.04.2 Chrome + Firefox. Wasted an hour this morning tracking files created by scripts only to discover they are indeed there but file manager not showing anything at all that's new.
Hi,
Did you refresh folder contents?
Do you perhaps, by any chance have sorting enabled and the files are displayed in unordinary order?
I have files shown after clicking refresh folder button or clicking
Ctrl+Rhotkey.I found the files and folder I was creating. Unfortunately the new subfolder was buried 13 pages down in the folder and not at the top as is always the case with directories and the file manager.
Then another file I was creating through a script was also not showing up when I sorted by last modified, I also had to scroll several pages down to find it. I tried refreshing to no avail either.
I do LIKE the new preview image action you added on the right click very handy for me but the file sorting is plagueing me now.
You can increase amount of files to prevent server pagination feature. I will improve it. How many files are there in the directory?
Hi Ilia it's a web site images folder with currently 506 images in it, how do I increase the amount?
File Manager configuration.
Thanks Ilia, I should know that. With modern versions of Webmin all those settings top right are not very visible so I forget they are there, they all look greyed out so my ageing eyes really don't notice them anymore. Setting to 1000 has fixed that so thank you for the always quick and always great support. Perhaps consider making those icons top right stand out a little more. You can close this one thank you.
Okay, I'm actually going to.
You can enable high contrast mode on the theme configuration.
You are welcome.
Okay, I have set the default value to equal 1000 to activate server pagination.
Besides, I did more tests, and it seems reasonable to to sort folder over files, even when server pagination is activated, if there are less than 100.000 files in directory.
It will go to upcoming 19.38 within few days. 19.38-RC1 has been just published. You can give it a try.
