Hi,
unable to activate the Bandwidth Monitoring in Webmin.
When clicking on SETUP NOW we get error message:
Unsupported file or mode >iptables-save 2>/dev/null | at WebminCore::/usr/share/webmin/web-lib-funcs.pl line 3163
We are on Debian Linux 8.
Thanks for advice
Cheers
If you go to the Linux Firewall module, does it detect IPtables and show your current rules?
hi,
sorry for the delay, was a bit busy. <bg></bg>
yes, i can see my rules in the linux firewall displaying the content of iptables.up.rules.
cheers
Can you add the line error_stack=1 to /etc/webmin/config and then re-try setting up bandwidth monitoring, and post the full error message? That will show me where exactly in the code the problem occurred.
ok done,
here is the message:

btw
there was a new type of log file created even after the error message in LOG FILES: /var/log/bandwidth.

Is anything being logged to /var/log/bandwidth, or is it just empty?
when i tried to use this option,
the first time there was something logged,
but as i remember no errors.
afterwards it kept always empty.
have deleted the log already.
cheers
Ok, I see the cause of this now - it will be fixed in the next Webmin release.
thanks
