This work-around did not work for me!
I'm getting: Failed to open temp file /var/mail/data.del : Permission denied
And sudo chmod +w /var/mail did not resolve the issue.

Another fix is to install the latest development version of Webmin from http://www.webmin.com/devel.html , that partially reverts the way mail files are written to the old behavior.

Just to clarify, the old bug has now returned in v1.860? Every time I try to delete user mail I get the message: Failed to open temp file /var/mail/xxxx.del : No such file or directory
Any idea on when the next release with a bug fix is due?

That was a problem that I had more than two years ago. I don't know why
this has resurfaced. I have not sent any new messages and do not currently
have this issue.

When I try to delete user email in Webmin, I get the following error

This started when I update webmin verions
This is a new bug, that looks similar to but is unrelated to the original. If you need a quick fix, get the 1.861 (or later) development version of Webmin from http://www.webmin.com/devel.html

There are no .del files for any of the mail accounts. And I cannot delete any messages anymore. It used to work before the latest update.

Appears now in Webmin 1.860 (works like a charm before update of webmin!)
