When displaying (for editing) an existing DKIM TXT record in the TXT-page, data gets spread over the message and comment fields. Probably the record is read from the file and not processed correctly by webmin. I assume the same issue when trying to resign a zone for DNSSEC; the dnssec-signzone also shows an error complaining about syntax errors.
Webmin 1.690 and BIND9.9.5 on Ubuntu 14.04LTS.
Can you post the lines from the zone file for this TXT record? The format may be different from what Webmin expects..
Below the record. I assume the semi-column causes the issue because this seems to be the delimiter for comments in a RR. In the BIND module properties I allowed comments.
mx1._domainkey.heerlen.nl IN TXT "v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=MIIBIjANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOCAQ8AMIIBCgKCAQEA3QrrPXZZBgpitucM4vdH50GXrsEZyJEP6r3ePJUH+2eaoNHdT5LTF9TqWdhKyPBo/EW/44U6J0TcCtldYMyChgcviGT8UEk/KVpaf+hRGY8RT2qODzbtVKYv6j8XlBbdiivxkh/b8OKSqBZO2ZwN4hDa2KtPOTpKmhfmn4U2LutRU6pCkovUVTfLR433YEeN7QISz7yO/23MAfFatqLV/duRlE4AvwwF0Crr813P9afdrj0u7rSW5cr01qsljmnb5BdAq4Idj1M+SglBWOBrc+XWkiKkaNku/VY5gqfy6Zq/AbsKpeQDukjBebu6azlgpcnRNEuDgQk3coGaA/gu4wIDAQAB"
That format looks OK. On which exact page in Webmin are you trying to edit this record?
I'll 2 attachments. One before creating the record and one after I hit the create button.

I think this is actually just the way a long TXT record is displayed in a browser text box. If you save the record, does it get corrupted in the zone file?
It seems that the whole string should not be placed within a pair of double-quotes. When leaving them out, the 'message' for the TXT-record looks fine and is signed by DNSSEC without any error. The comment-box remains empty.
Case can be closed.
I have screenshots just like @jcameron and it's been 10 years since it was posted!
Webmin shouldn't display it incorrectly by putting the Message in the Comment box and puts \escape before the \" quotes.
One work-around is to fix the file by hand.
Ubuntu 20.

Max - are you still seeing this in the latest Webmin release?
