No

If search domans are set within network configuration modual they are added to /etc/network/interfaces as sperate dns-search lines for each domnain where as the system is looking for a single line as for dns-nameservers.
Failure is only at reboot and not on restarting networking service.

Using Webmin 1.588 on Ubuntu 12.04

Are you sure about this? Having multiple dns-search lines seems to work on my system. I haven't been able to find any documentation on the fomat of those lines in the /etc/network/interfaces file.

Yes it defiantly needs the dns-search list on one line in /etc/networking/interfaces. I thought I would see if the dns-nameservers works with multiple lines and it also stops the system booting with the network interfaces up. The Network Configuration module’s Hostname and DNS Client page add/changes dns servers as a single line ok but adds search domains as multi lines.
There does not appear to be a problem with Webmin 1.580 on Ubuntu 11.10.

If there is any other information you require just ask
