No

OS: CentOS 6, fully updated. After adding the Webmin yum repository and installing Webmin (v 1.550) via yum, webmin does not detect the OS. Instead, it detects "Generic Linux 2.6".

    Addendum: For clarity, CentOS6 is a source rebuild of RHEL6

    I found the oschooser.pl script:

    [root@localhost ~]# perl /usr/libexec/webmin/oschooser.pl /usr/libexec/webmin/os_list.txt /tmp/os.txt 2
    [root@localhost ~]# cat /tmp/os.txt
    os_type='generic-linux'
    os_version='2.6'
    real_os_type='Generic Linux'
    real_os_version='2.6'
    [root@localhost ~]#

    [root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/centos-release
    CentOS Linux release 6.0 (Final)
    [root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
    CentOS Linux release 6.0 (Final)

    You need to get the 1.555 development verssion of webmin, from http://www.webmin.com/devel.html .

    Make sure you un-install the old version and delete /etc/webmin* first though.

    The next major webmin release will also include centos 6 support.
