With the newest version of Webmin, Webmin 1.500, the initial login page or "System Information" page slows down my server to a crawl each and every time I am forced to load it. Sometimes it brings down other components, like email, due to the memory usage. Upon logging in I quickly have to exit the page to another component to keep the server from overloading itself. I believe this bug has to do with how much time it takes to load "Running processes" and "Package updates"

Version: Webmin 1.500
Server: Ubuntu Linux 8.04.1
Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5130 @ 2.00GHz, 4 cores
Memory: 512MB

Webmin 1.500 had a poor design that caused it to use up a lot of RAM when working out package updates, particularly on Debian and Ubuntu where many packages are available. However, I've fixed this and created a 1.503 development version that includes the fix - you can get it from http://www.webmin.com/devel.html

This fix will also be in the 1.510 official release.
