Hi,

My modem hungup on me cause some program sent
SIGHUP to pppd I traced it and it seams your /etc/
webmin/stop script is too simple, could you please make
it not kill other processes by mistake, by putting a bit
more effort into it, I mean 4 lines of code, common ;)

If you can could u please email the new updated stop
script to me at synide1337@absamail.co.za or
synide@webmail.co.za

Thanks, much appreciated.

1 more thing your document on getting webmin to run in
apache is slightly wrong, you forgot to include
chmod -R 6755 /etc/webmin
chmod -R 6755 /var/webmin
chown -R root.root /etc/webmin
chown -R root.root /var/webmin
otherwise it pops up saying, "You have no access to any
modules" (something along those lines.
I also cannot get my webmin to do anything, running in
apache, cause apache seams like its not givning enough
previlidges to webmin or something, anyway this is a
small problem, I'm back to using miniserv.pl on my 586
gateway PC (laggy using perl to serv perl).

Thanks, bye

The /etc/webmin/stop script only kills a single process -
the webmin server, not other processes found with ps and
grep. So it wouldn't be touching pppd at all ..

Also, there should be no need to change permissions on
/var/webmin and /etc/webmin if the .cgi scripts are running
with root permissions, which they have to be in order to work!
