$var{'user'} is not being passed! Figured out that the
problem is around setting cookies. The browser I'm
using is MSIE 5.0 (Win2k default) and GnuLedger will
not set a cookie on my machine!
Sure enough. Works fine for me at work. My internet
explorer, mozilla, and lynx bomb at home. I just fixed the
GL_MODE module, and Lynx and Mozilla log in with NO
problems. IE is still acting weird though... working on it.

Still doesn't work. I am reopening this. It seems that
everything works fine on a server running RedHat 6.1... but
the servers running 7.1 bomb horribly.

The problem appears to be, like I originally thought,
rooted in Internet Explorer. I have tested the same install
using several different computers and browsers, and certain
versions of Internet Explorer (>5.00) in Windows 2000 do
not work. Still working on it.

Finally! This bug has been fixed once and for all. The
problem was in the differences between how Mozilla/Normal
Browsers treat cookies and how IE treats them. IE doesn't
like +30m for an expiry date, and whats 30m. Mozilla/Others
will accept either one. Fixed. Enjoy!

Maybe it's an issue in MSIE 5.00... my other test system in
MSIE 5.5 and it works like a charm. Still working on it...

Linux/UNIX/QNX/etc. users should not be affected by this.
Only Windows users running Internet Explorer seem to be
affected.
