is there a "print" processor for debugging purposes? something that would allow printing the output that got harvested? if not that would surely be useful, couldn't find anything in the docs so far - guess I have to use scripting, right?

You can write results of execution of selected processors to the log file as described here: http://web-harvest.sourceforge.net/manual.php#debug
Another option is to observe results in GUI (results of processor invocations are displayed in the left panel).
