[Web-ftp] new version of web-ftp

  Here is a new version of Web-FTP, finally... fixes the
bug that posts to the bottom of the page, which unfixes a
less important bug. It also implements a subdirectory
setup and language support. I sent it off to two people 
who had offered to do translations, but they have not got
back to me. So if anyone wants to make a translation, let
me know.

  Try it out, let me know any bugs.. if there are none I will
do a full release.

[Web-ftp] Permissions link doesn't work?

What is usage of Permissions link on the left side with links like =
MkDir, Upload, ..., etc?

It hangs when I click on it and at the bottom of the page it says =
"Web-FTP 2.1.2: Altering permissions within OUR FTP SITE:/"

Do I miss anything? Please help!

[Web-ftp] using web-ftp to download

Hello folks

I'm just curious if others have experiences this behavior and if their
might be a way to change it.  It seems that using web-ftp to download
files defaults to ascii instead of bin.  My assumption is that this is
set by the web-ftp client, and not for instance the browser, but I am
not positive.  is there any way to change this behavior?

  You can't unzip files on the server, at some time I
may add the ability to upload a tar file and unpack
that to the server, but for now there is no way. If
you can't chmod or delete files my first guess would
be that you don't have the proper permissions to do so.
Can you chmod or delete the files with a normal ftp
client?

  I just sent Row a message saying I solved this, sort of...

  If anyone is having this problem put a 
close STDERR;

  near the top of the web-ftp.cgi script, that will fix the 
problem until I find a better solution...

[Web-ftp] hang using webftp 2.1.2 on Apache 2.0.40

Hi all,

Anyone tried Web-FTP 2.1.2 running on Apache 2.0.40?

I tested it out but I have difficulty logging in everytime. I installed
Apache 1.3.26 and it is working fine on the same box.
I tested an older version (Web-FTP 1.5.2) and it is working fine too.

Any help?

  I can't imagine why this would happen... I've seen problems
where browsers screw with the download name, but I've never seen
problems with uploads... what browsers/OS have you used?

  So you know what ftp server you are connecting to? MS, Wu-FTPD,
ProFTPD?

  Either and both? :) Running under windows is running
under windows, though average people who want windows
probably want the straight IIS approach :)
