Hi everybody. I just installed Web-FTP to let some users access a server behind a firewall. I noticed that all the FTP transfer seems to be done in binary mode. Since most of the users will be using Windows terminals, I'm afraid this can be problem when they try to transfer their source code on the server, due to the line terminators confusing the U*ix compilers. I was wondering if it could be possible either to enable the selection of ASCII/Binary transfer or to force an ASCII mode for a subset of file extensions or mime types (e.g. all .tex, .c ,.h files). I had a look at the web-ftp.cgi code, but the ascii/binary selection seems to happen only during the Edit function. Thanks, Maurizio Munafo' -- ______ / Maurizio M.
