Students in the classes for which I am GTA are expected to upload their homework assignments to the relevant Web-CAT dropboxes, without intervention on my part. Oftentimes, however, students email me their assignments for various reasons, and so I use the Submit-for-Student feature.
Currently, if I want to enter remarks and assign a grade for a student after submitting their assignment, these are the steps I need to take:
start: File Submitted screen
- click on "Enter Remarks"
- choose course
- choose assignment
- choose student
This was particularly aggravating a few weeks ago when the Web-CAT server, for whatever reason, stopped accept submissions from about 15 of my students.
It would be very nice if this process could be distilled into a one-click step. There could be, for example, a "Grade This Submission" button or link on the File Submitted screen so that I can get right to it.
