Weaver version 3.1.0a1-D1 (developer) released.

The first developer cut of Weaver 3.1.0 is now available. The release includes a revamped Admin Console and improved documentation and add W-Beans to handle XML documents and XSLT processing.

Weaver version 3.0.1 (production) released.

Weaver is a pure-Java, XML programmed controller component for developing Model View Controller (MVC) structured, servlet based, Web applications. Release 3.0.1 is an update to include the latest version of the Jakarta implementation of JSTL (1.1.1).

Weaver version 3.0.0 (production) released.

Weaver is a pure-Java, XML programmed controller component for developing Model View Controller (MVC) structured, servlet based, Web applications. Release 3.0.0 is the first major release since moving to SourceForge.

Weaver is available at http://www.oldlight.com/weaver/

Version 3.0.0 is an almost entire re-write of the 2.0 development stream - some of the highlights include:

* WAD file tags are consistent with JSTL.
* JSP EL is used in test conditions and attribute values.
* WAD parser is extensible so that new tag sets may be added.
* Multiple WAD files may now be used in one application.
* A generic authentication mechanism has been introduced.
* Drag and drop deployment is supported.
* An administrative console is included.
* A simple "starter" application is included.
* Logging now uses Apache log4j.
* Nullsoft NSIS installer for Windows (zip file for other platforms) is available.
* File upload via posting multipart/form-data forms is supported.
* Extensive documentation is available; this includes a tutorial, reference guide and HOWTOs.
* All dependencies on other OldLight libraries have been removed.
