How do I use "Why Can't I Connect?"
Test a connection to a Microsoft SQL Server.
I will attempt a connection to a Microsoft SQL Server. Enter the server name or IP address and port (the default port for Microsoft SQL Server is 1433.) I do not expect a response from this connection so I will close the connection on success.
