Nice program.
A few questions:
I have a number of MP3's that I am going to sue to trim down and create some ringtones.
Should Sample size be 16 or 24?
Should MP3 import be 16 or 24?
Now, when I select a section of a song I like, I thought I could simply hit record or Export as--but this does not save that short section. If I do save as, it saves the entire file and not the section.
*The only way I found is to cut and paste the section into a new window?
Any other way? I assume not.
And also in the new window the zoom is set high (zoom out), is there a way for the zoom to show the same setting as the original song without manually zooming in a few times?
I assume not...
Again, great and simple program. I gave up on Audacity as I had some setting wrong I suppose out of the box and it kept creating very poor mp3 outputs for some odd reason, even using their lame encoder they suggested.
Sorry for all the questions
Thank you
peter

Thanks for the kind words. Sadly I know nothing about ringtones and have no idea what format they're supposed to be in, but my instinct is that 24 bits is overkill for a ringtone.
You are correct that cut and paste is the best way to do what you're trying to do. A command to save and/or export the selection might save a bit of time in some cases, but it would also complicate the UI. WaveShop takes the word "lightweight" seriously.
There's currently no way to synchronize the zoom of one document to that of another. It's an interesting idea though.
