Reference.Variables.state

Variable "state" in MATLAB/Octave version of WavePacket

This global(!) variable is an instance of one of the WavePacket main classes. The respective constructor is called from qm_setup. Once being constructed, this object is the main data entity for propagations with qm_propa or calculations involving any of the other WavePacket main functions. In particular, the variable "state" can be an instance of the following classes:

• class wave: Wavefunctions in position/momentum space, represented on grids
• class ket and rho: Quantum state vectors and density matrices in eigen representation
• class traj: Classical densities in phase space, represented by swarms of trajectories
• class mssh and fssh and sssh: Variants of surface hopping trajectories
