Welcome to the Matlab/Octave Version of WavePacket!

This is the stable version of the WavePacket project, coded in Matlab/Octave, already in use by quite a few labs around the world. Note that there is also a (yet experimental!) C++/Python version of WavePacket.

Latest version 7.2.1 was released on 23-Jan-2024, providing a number of minor fixes and extensions to version 7.1.0 and version 7.0.0, the latter of which was the first version also running reasonably under Octave. For remaining Octave problems and restriction see also our WavePacket blog. Note that that was the first major release after version 6.0.0 published in late 2018 which essentially represented an object-oriented rewrite of previous versions of the package, for the first time offering fully classical, hybrid quantum-classical, and fully quantum mechanical simulations on an equal footing.

A thorough descriptions of our software package can also be found in our series of WavePacket/WaveTrain publications .
