Hello World!

The project has been registered... a basic webpage should soon be forthcoming. For those who don't know, this project is designed to convert plaintext data points into playable sound files. It was originally created at the University of California, Irvine, for use by the Siwy Group (http://www.physics.uci.edu/~zsiwy/) to provide a simple and quick way to visualize and classify oscillating current time series with frequencies in the audible range. Currently the program parses in either tab-delineated (X Y) data points or plaintext Axon Text Files (.atf) and converts the resulting wave into an uncompressed PCM Wave file. It is the hope of the creator that the program could be modified by the open source community to accept different input file types in order to better serve other researchers. Currently the program is a working alpha, meaning that it can convert either tab-delineated points or .atf files into .wav audio files.
