A friend discovered this bug, they marked the files hidden so that Microsoft SyncToy didn't trample over them when synchronizing the shared folders between home PC and a version kept on a thumb drive. This was before they found out it was possible to exclude specific file names without having to set them hidden.

very funny bug :) why is it marked hidden ? :)
There is a big problem overall with the preference saving thing, but truly, why hidden?
