A common problem I've seen is that people trying to connect to each other don't have the same "Network ID". Most of the time, fixing that seems to fix the "Network Down" problem.

Just thought I'd share that info!!

      Hi

Saw your posting. What is the Network ID. How do I find this? It's blank in the settings. Sorry for the newbie question.

If you go to (WASTE 1.5 b2) Preferences > Network > Passwords you will see the Network Name/ID field and it will be blank. If you then read the information below that blank field, everything will be explained to you.

But to elucidate things for you quickly, Network Name/ID is much like a password for the network. So if you want to get on, you'll need to have the correct Network Name/ID. The two WASTE networks I'm on don't use Network Name/IDs, and I would suggest you do the same if its only going to be you and a few friends.
