#4 Kismet discards all packets

I can associate with APs, and wavemon works just fine,
but Kismet wont log packets, just discards them. For
example I'm using a 3COM AP 8000, a Lucent Gold in
the wardriving laptop with a Cisco card in another
machine. Both cards are associated with the AP and
can ping one another but whilst Kismet clearly sees the
packets their merely discarded. I'm using a Dell Latitude
as the sniffing machine.
