#5 Font mapping support

Right now, if the font you're using doesn't support the
character, you get the "unknown" glyph. Should we
support font fallback? It's unclear - on the one hand,
it reduces the number of times you see the silly box,
but on the other hand it takes control out of the
programmer's hands.
