I would like to see WANem that i can install onto an existing linux.
e.g. i already have a linux (CentOS5) router that separates a testlab. it would be nice to _add_ the ability of bandwidth shaping with WANem rather than replacing the exsisting OS with your ISO and losing all the other services the existing router provides. like DHCP, PXE boot, firewalling.
even better than source would be packages for common linux distros, e.g. RHEL/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu.
Ben
I support this thought.
One more use-case requiring WANem in a form of executable/package is for usage with blades. I can't assign the media tray to this particular blade forever, and would prefer to install it on a local disk.
Would appreciate if you can think of any workarounds...
Regards,
Alex
Please get this up and running asap. An RPM or deb package would be great. Goal should be to be able to do a yum install apache php and yum localinstall wanem.xxx.yyy and be up and running. I have it installed on a Linux box (forgot to document it though) but it seems there is a bit more to it than just copying the folders mentioned in one of the forum posts.
