Sorry for the quiestion, but I’ve been wondering is there any reason that the project is not hosted on either github or bitbucket?
Obviously most of their available tools like forums, source browsing, other integrations are superior to what sourceforge offers currently.
Also I’m of the opinion that hosting on github would definitely help spreading the project out.
Thank you,
Krasi

Ten years ago, when this project started, SF was more dominant. Since then, many people have recommended that I switch to GitHub. I am open to changing, but since it is easier to do nothing, I am still waiting for someone to articulate what advantages GitHub offers.
A few years ago, someone created a clone of our repository in GitHub and transferred it to me. It did not generate much interest, but it did generate plenty of confusion. People did not know which repository contained the latest code. Also, I neglected to keep both repositories up to date, so the GitHub one fell behind, and people starting finding bugs that had already been fixed.
On another occasion, someone convinced me to agree to switch to GitHub if I could figure out how to use both a forum and web hosting on GitHub. After some digging, I thought the web hosting looked more complicated, and did not provide a succinct URL for the project. Of course, this is not really a very big obstacle, but I also do not have much motivation to switch because I am currently unaware of what advantages GitHub offers.
If someone is willing to discuss the specific merits of GitHub versus SourceForge with me, I would like to hear about it. But, I'm also busy, and people are used to it being here, so I don't want to just switch without a reason.

I think one of the important advantages is the more dynamic and real-time interactions between the community members, both users and the developers. I also believe that making it in Github makes the Library known much more.
